We commissioned Research Australia to develop a consumer driven national strategy for arthritis research. This included a detailed review of Australia\u2019s arthritis research landscape including the funding allocations historically, and trends in meeting contemporary population needs and expectations.<\/p>

Priority areas were identified through a research gap analysis, alignment to the National Strategic Action Plan for Arthritis<\/a> and input from over 100 consumers living with arthritis (osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and juvenile idiopathic arthritis).<\/p>

The findings and recommendations from this review were launched at Parliament House, Canberra in November 2022, aiming to galvanise a strategic and collaborative approach to research that is meaningful to people living with arthritis.<\/p>
